First Post

1. Please share one or two things that are going well, That we need to keep supporting as a school.

One thing that is going well this year is "Help", Our school is employing staff such as counselorsand resource teachers that help students finish or understand work. Personally i think our counselors are hard working individuals that help students through personal or school struggles such as changing classes or talking about home life. Our resource teachers are hard at work teaching to students and helping students with work. Personally I think there is always room for improvement but our school has some of the finest teachers and staff in the district.

2. Please share one or two things that you think we need to look at as a school.
Originally i was going to do the weight training room, but the more i think about it the more i realize that our weight training room is one or maybe the best in the district, So instead of doing the weight training room I think I'm going to look at is "Student Respect" Student respect is a very hard thing to find now a days, with the "role models" kids look up to are rappers and people who haven't  made the best life choices, people who have been arrested or even been to prison. Those "role models" aren't the most respectful to people like law enforcement. Kids today thinks its cool to swear or use illegal substances. People use to have a lot more respect for other classmates or teachers but that all changed when people changed their role models to criminals. I think we could change role models and maybe be as respectful as people used to be. I understand its something the school couldn't make people do but our school could convince that its not cool or nice to bully kids or be disrespectful to teachers or their peers. Something like posters and other school activities that tell student role models are someone that you should look up to not because they're "cool" but because they're respectful people who thrive in today's society.
